I had a wonderful stay at Sunset Beach Resort, with exceptional service and a beautiful room, though the location is a bit away from Patong’s busy center. The staff was incredibly friendly, making my experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was having to pay for tuk-tuks to downtown, but the complimentary shuttle bus helped a lot.
